Bill Harris took these pictures at the Military Aviation Museum in Virgina Beach.

 flak36.JPG

WWII German FLAK 36, displayed as a North African anti-aircraft gun. A searchlight can be seen to the left. Some

88mm Ready Rounds can be seen in the baskets in front. This gun could depress below horizontal, perhaps the first for a big AA gun during this period. This, and the big, high velocity projectile, proved to be an extreemly effective anti-tank weapon. Germany produced over 21,000 of these guns durng WWII (Flak 18/36/37/41).

 minibike.JPG

A WWII collapsible minibike and its container, for use by paratroppers. Perhaps the smallest military vehicle.
